We’re Mari and Sena - and we love the ocean.
We’re lucky to live on the beautiful subtropical island of Okinawa, Japan and begin most of our days with a swim out to the pristine coral reef in our front yard.
But it’s not all picture-perfect.
The more time we spend enjoying and photographing the stunning ocean and environment, the more we see how little is done to protect it and how much it’s taken for granted.
Though we tend to see ourselves as separate, humans are a part of nature. The health and well-being of our planet directly impacts our personal health and well-being.
Despite being unique individuals, every decision we make and action we take has either a positive or negative effect on our home and the lives we share it with.
We hope to inspire you to rethink your relationship with nature to protect the lives and things you hold close to your heart.

3度の飯より海が好きなMariとSenaです。
とても幸運なことに、私たちはサンゴ礁と白い砂が美しい海がすぐそこにある、沖縄県の北部に在住しています。
ほとんど毎日近所の海のサンゴ畑まで泳ぎに行き、全身で海を感じて癒されることから1日を始めます。
響きだけだととても美しく夢のような楽園を想像するかもしれませんが、全てが思い描いたように美しいわけではありません。
実際に沖縄の美しい海や自然と毎日触れ合い、撮影をしていると、私たち人間の行いによってこの尊い風景が失われていっていることを肌で感じます。
本来人間は自然の一部であるべきですが、自然を支配し、大切にできていないのが現状で、その行いは巡り巡って私たちに還ってきています。
全ての選択や行動は自然に影響します。人間が自然の一部であることを思い返し、尊重の心を持って接することで、私たちと自然は共に再生していきます。
美しい沖縄の海と自然を通して、この地球における私たち人類の立ち位置、そして自然との関係性を考え直すきっかけとなれたら幸いです。
